Shawnee Park Golf & Clubhouse Louisville, Kentucky Client: Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Parks Department 1297 Trevilian Way Louisville, Kentucky 40233 Contact: Mr. Steve Kempf Construction Cost: $470,000.00 Square Feet: 4,060 Completion: May 1990 The complete renovation of the clubhouse at Shawnee included new men's and women's locker rooms, a pro-shop, snack bar, a multi-purpose room and meeting rooms. The existing ceilings were removed for the multi-purpose room, exposing the roof trusses and vaulted ceiling. A light well was added between this space and the pro-shop on the first level, creating a dramatic effect in the pro-shop. The exterior of the sandstone building was restored and new maintenance free windows which resembled the building's original windows were installed. This building received a Preservation Alliance Medallion Award.
