Brescia Hall was originally constructed as a school for the Ursuline Society and Academy of Education. Upon the completion
of the renovation of the original convent, by Godsey Associates, the school, Sacred Heart Model School, was relocated from
Brescia and Angela Hall on campus. Brescia Hall will be the new main office of the Ursuline Society and Adacemy of
Education. The front of Brescia has been reconfigured to facilitate access and give the building a main focus as a
ceremonial entry. The tripartite entry structure, clad in copper roofing, is symbolic of the Trinity, an important
facet of the Catholic campus. Rising up the new ceremonial stair to the second and main floor, the center of the building
is a rotunda radiating axis to the rest of Brescia Hall. A new elevator and entrance is constructed in the rear to allow
access by all. The entire building systems have been removed and replaced with modern, economical energy systems.
