The Louisville Deaf Oral School, underwent an ambitious project in the development of a new school facility. There are 12 classrooms, divided into two separate pods. Connecting the two pods are shared service spaces, a library, music room, art room and a cafeteria/multipurpose room. The new school has been designed to facilitate interaction between the students by allowing large amounts of open, shared, commons or plaza spaces. Quality of light, and an open view to enclosed play areas help to bring the outside nature into the facility.
