Company Profile H. Carleton Godsey created a practice based upon a commitment of serving our clients with superior quality standards and providing personal service to every client. That philosophy is still adhered to today. Godsey Associates Architects was founded in 1967 by H. Carleton Godsey. Registered to practice in 38 states, the firm is now in its 37th year of providing professional architectural services. Godsey Associates Architects has executed more than 7,000 individual projects internationally, of all types and sizes. Regardless of the scope and size of your project, Godsey Associates will insure that you receive consistent professional service on a personal level. Godsey Associates has grown from a three-person firm in 1967 to a current staff of 17 employees representing all disciplines in architectural design. The staff size is indicative of client approval and employee dedication. We design and deliver facilities that strictly conform to the owner's needs, budget, and schedules. Godsey Associates Architects has designed over 400,000 square feet of new office space in the past ten years. In addition, the firm has designed approximately 700,000 square feet of renovated office space. Godsey Associates Architects has designed facilities for several major corporations located in Kentucky. These clients include Humana, United Parcel Service and Kentucky Fried Chicken now "Yum". We have also completed projects for the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Division of Engineering. Our firm was selected to design the $63.5 million expansion of the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Godsey Associates Architects has provided services for government agencies on local, state and federal levels including the City of Louisville and Jefferson County. Other agencies include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, General Services Administration, Naval Ordnance Station, Kentucky Air National Guard, Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States Postal Service. Godsey Associates Architects consistently provides responsive design based on our clients needs, schedule and budget. Not only do we meet our design and document schedules, but we also assist our owners and their contractors in meeting the construction schedules. Godsey Associates Architects has more CADD experience than any architectural firm in Kentucky. We were the first architectural practice in Kentucky to implement a Computer Aided Drafting and Design system into our office. We are continually upgrading and improving our technology to more effectively serve our clients. Godsey Associates Architects' staff is highly professional and highly experienced. Five registered architects have experience ranging from 10 years to 35 years. Most of the technical staff has more than 10 years experience and average more than 10 years with Godsey Associates. This depth of expertise results in quality service to our clients. We believe that communication as an essential part of the construction process is the key to a successful project. If directions to and by the design team are made clear at the earliest stage of the project, all possible decisions to be addressed early in the construction process become much easier for the contractors. This in turn minimizes issues that might come about that can result in the “dreaded” change order. We are known for our clear, accurate and detailed construction documents as part of that communication process. This rewards owners with a quality project delivered on time and in budget.
